Hi! My name is Nhelly Reeves. I am married to a wonderful Navy husband, Zach, and have a handsome 10 years old son, Jonathan. I am a Filipino American, who was born and raised in the United States. My mother, Floria Barretto, is retired from the Navy and a native of Botolan providence of Zambales, Philippines. Growing up as a Navy kid, we moved around frequently. However, I considered Groton, Connecticut as my hometown. During my childhood years, I was involved in a small Filipino dance group, the Island Dancers. We performed at various events displaying the rich and intricate Filipino’s culture through folkdance. After high school, I moved to Virginia to obtain my undergraduate degree at ODU.
I am currently a Navy Contractor working at the naval base. In the evenings, I teach various fitness platforms to include Zumba, Zumba toning, and Strong by Zumba. My passion is fitness and motivating people to stay fit! I love running races but my craze is the mud runs with tons of obstacles! I always love a challenge, and getting dirty is also fun! I’m a big sushi fan and a movie buff! I love pretty much any movie from horror, comedy, to thriller/action. Also, I’m a BIG animal lover, coupon diva, busy mother and wife, DIY enthusiasm, dessert lover, and avid learner for all topics! Most of all, my favorite passion is spending time with my family. They mean the world to me!
